Dr KC Chia: Carrying the Weight of Life with Compassion
In 2019, Dr. Chia adopted his first stray dog. It wasn’t a spontaneous decision. It was the beginning of a promise, a quiet vow to change the fate of lives that had been forgotten.
In 2020, Dr. Chia moved to Rawang, a larger space where he could build a sanctuary for more stray animals. What began with just 96 dogs has grown into a refuge for over 300+ dogs. His rescue base has become a truly safe shelter for lives where they no longer have to endure the cold, the rain, or the fear.
But his compassion doesn't end with animals... Whenever a natural disaster strikes somewhere in the world — whether it’s an earthquake in Nepal or a typhoon in the Philippines — Dr. Chia is among the first to respond. He personally travels to disaster zones, delivering supplies, support, and hope. He always believes: “Every life deserves to be treated with kindness and care”
It was this belief that brought KC Valley to life. It’s not only about rescuing animals, but also about teaching young people the value of kindness and charity. His dream is that kindness will become not just a rare commitment, but a shared responsibility embraced by all.

Mr Chia: From One Rescue to a Lifetime of Purpose
That day, Mr. Chia was playing basketball on the court.
A stray dog had been tightly entangled with an electric cable, and its wounds were badly infected.
但事情远比想象中困难，狗狗的挣扎让救援变得更加复杂。

Mr Chia没有放弃，

Mr. Chia was determined to make a difference.
Leveraging social networks, he brought together a team of kindred spirits.
The KC Valley Rescue Team was formed with the mission, to aid injured stray animals.
During a rescue mission, he met Dr. Chia.
They instantly connected,
They weren’t just focused on saving lives, but on ensuring these lives could live safely and peacefully.
Starting as a small team, they have grown into a professional rescue organization that has saved hundreds of animals and helped prevent stray animal tragedies through sterilization and awareness programs.
It’s about raising awareness, inspiring more people to notice, aware, and take part.
Rescuing isn’t just about cutting cables, it’s a deeper commitment.

Numerous dogs refuse to eat, shrink away into corners, avoid human contact, and shake with fear at the slightest sound or movement.
People often say the hardest part isn’t rescuing the dog, what’s truly difficult is helping them regain their will to survive.
Mr. Chia has encountered this heartbreaking scene countless times. Therefore, KC Valley’s mission is more than rescue — it’s about healing and helping these animals trust humans once more.
有些狗，花了一个月，才敢迈出笼子的第一步；
有些狗，花了一年，才敢靠近人类，轻轻地摇尾巴。
但每一个从恐惧中走出来的生命，都是他们坚持下去的理由。
Mr. Chia says, “To save one life is not only to change its fate, but to bring more warmth into the world.”
The difficulties of rescuing don’t scare them,
what scares them is a world with fewer people ready to lend a hand.
